Dr. Mark Merchant, a professor of Biochemistry at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA, which happens to be located in arguably some of the best hunting grounds in the world, is different than most professors. He's an energetic hunter, cook, and general outdoor enthusiast. He's also a leader in researching the mechanisms of innate immunity in crocodilians (using alligator blood instead of antibiotics to treat animals-to put it in my words).
